Nottingshire and Derbyshire

House of Images have won a contract to supply their internet software to the ‘North East Midland Photographic Record’, a project covering the local authorities of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Within the project each authority will create its’ own image database which will be accessed through the authorities web site and intranet. In addition to this a joint database will be created made up of the content from all four authorities, this database will be accessed through its own, new, web site www.picturethepast.org.uk now.

The Heritage Lottery Funded project is the first ever in which a number of local authorities are working together as a consortium to create both, individual databases for each authority, and a combined database covering the total content of all four. The contract is one of the most prestigious to have been won by House of Images and it further consolidates the company’s position as a leading supplier of imaging systems to libraries and museums in the UK.
